If you haven't seen the promo for the episode yet, this might make no sense:

So I was worried about this (seemingly) funny episode comming after the hard-hitting OTHoaP. I was wondering "How can they have a funny episode after such a angsty and serious episode like that? How can they address the issues from OTHoaP if apparently, Sam and Dean don't even know each other?" It's no reason to fret, I know, the show has never disapointed me yet and it's NOT gonna start now, but I guess I'm twisted that way-- always fretting. Or is it a weird mixture of excitement and curiosity? *shrugs* That's most likely it. But after watching the promo, I just got plain excited again.

WHY don't Sam and dean know each other? Who/what is doing it? Is it a Djinn? Trickster? Will they remember what happened in this Bizzaro World if it is REALLY Sam and Dean in there? What truth/lesson will they uncover and how much is it going to hurt? Heehe.

I know what I'd like to see in this alternate universe: Bizzaro!SamnDean going up against something (ghost something-or-other); Dean kicking it's butt and feeling GOOD and confident about it, like in the good old pre-Hell days, and/or Sam using his powers and the brothers seeing it as something really awesome that just saved their lives. Both things would put real prespective to what their characters are going through this season, if they end up remembering what happened. Especially since they wouldn't know about their 'real' lives in this dream world. Hmm...

And hooray for the return of Ghostfacers!!! :D Is it Thursday yet?

Just finished watching it. And Oh MY Bobby was it amazing.

Supernatural just keeps pumping out these awesome eps. I cant believe it. I must admit I wasnt too excited about seeing this one -well I was excited as any other supernatural ep but you know- anyway woahza.

I think it was just what we needed after those last two eps. A lighter one that still in some degree brought the story foward. Hopefully It will be the start of the Dean we all know and love.

What a great Episode and Yippee It wasn't Filler.

Postby Knightmist on Fri Mar 27, 2009 12:38 pm

I was in such a state after watching this episode and realizing it wasn't a filler as the preview somewhat made me think it was going to be. I so hope this "Angelic" trick gets the boys back on task.

I so loved some of the subtle jokes like Sam mentioning something about it being in his blood.

As for The Ghostfacers, SAWEEET!!!

I yelled when I saw them and had my wife come into the room and ask what was wrong. Mental note, don't yell so loud next time.

GREAT Episode and now I'm so dreading the upcoming break.

I think the word "break" should be categorized now as a four letter word. But, never fear, we still have one more episode before the next b$*%k. :)
Hey Tim, what's that e-mail address again?

I rather enjoyed this episode as well. It was fun to get away from the epic-ness that was 4x15 and 4x16, but while still having these hints from what's going on in the rest of the season and what their real lives are. Things like Dean saying 'Sammy' and Sam saying that 'in his blood' line. Although, after this fun escapade (as much fun as it was to see a Prius-driving, salad-eating Dean and a oversharing, Tech-Support Sam), I can't wait to get our REAL Sam and Dean back.

I liked this episode so much because it was like having the old SamnDean back. Well, minus the part that they don't know each other. The way they both swung at the ghost all in synch was the perfect touch! It was so much fun to see them so excited about a case. Also entertaining was to see them so scared! Dean's cornered look when the ghost almost had him, and Sam's freaked-out "call you back" line when the guard was cut in half were priceless!

Plus, a BONUS Ghostfacers appearence! And a new angel! I'm curious to see if he comes back or not... Also, the guy who plays Zachariah also played the Sheriff in 'Scary Movie', so it was hard to take him seriously at first cuz I just couldn't stop giggling after I realized what he played in.

Although I've watched this episode twice now, I'm still not sure whether Sam was all part of the illusion or if he too was de-amnesia-fied like Dean was when Zacharia touched him, but we just didn't see him come back to being himself. Are we supposed to disregard everything Bizzaro!Sam might have said in this epi because he wasn't actually real? I'm still not sure. But if Sam was real, I'm wondering if he'll be able to remember what happened too, like Dean. Hope this gets adressed somewhere down the line. Hmm...

This episode was AWESOME as always! I love the alternate reality episodes! The little nods to former episodes like Sam breaking up with Madison from "Heart" and Dean saying his family was "Ellen, Bob, and his sister Jo" was great! I loved the other subtle things like the "in my blood" that was mentioned by someone above. Anyways, loved the episode and can't wait for more!

LOL.

Heck yes! I was so psyched when I saw them. And from the way Ed and Harry [or should that be Harry and Ed? Hmmm... These are things that keep me awake at night, haha.] kept using the word "DOUCHEBAG", there is no doubt in my mind that the entire Supernatural crew are avid listeners of the podcast.
