Ok, so this title freaked me out for a second because I had heard that 4x20 was going to be the begining of the Dean vs Sam episodes, and I read the title as 'The Rupture' instead of 'The Rapture'. RUpture = BAD, but RApture = GOOD. Or at least: RUpture = EXTREMELY bad, and RApture = little bit BETTER than using 'Rupture' as the starting point of the Dean vs Sam episodes. That would be particularily brutal.

I mean, 'Rapture' in the dictionary is: the state of mind resulting from feelings of high emotion; joyous ecstasy (I feel like I'm writing the begining of a bad, cliché essay or something :P ).
It's meant to be a good feeling. At least, it's supposed to be. Knowing SPN, we're probably gonna get a warped sense of what rapture really is. And I have a feeling there's going to be lots of pain for me with respect to the SamnDean relationship along the way. I should get "Oh, you poor boys!" tatooed on my face so I don't have to say it everytime my heart breaks for them.

I just found this on Wikipedia about 'The Rapture' in Christianity. Gives me a whole new (and still slightly confuzzled) meaning to the title:

The Rapture is a prophesied event in Christian eschatology, in which Christians are instantaneously gathered together to participate in the Second Coming of Christ. Christians who have died are to be resurrected to participate in the coming of Christ along with those who are still living at the time of the event.

Man, the things a simple episode title can do to a person...

The official description for this episode has been posted by the CW. Here it is:

CASTIEL RETURNS TO HIS HUMAN FORM - Castiel (Misha Collins) appears to Dean (Jensen Ackles) in a dream and says he has something important to tell him but they need to meet somewhere private. Dean and Sam (Jared Padalecki) go searching for Castiel but instead find Jimmy, Castiel’s human vessel, who has only a spotty recollection of being an angel. Jimmy wants to return to his family and normal life, but Dean and Sam are concerned about his safety.

Definitely sounds to be an interesting episode.

Just read this today...

"Jimmy"? Oh come on... Castiel's vessel deserves a much better name.

Who here reckons they (SPN writers) are going to kill the person inside of Cas's vessel? So that Cas like Ruby can have an 'eco friendly' body?

Heh, "Jimmy", that's funny. I'm sure they're going to make it work seamlessly, though.

So that Cas like Ruby can have an 'eco friendly' body?

Then we can make even more comments/comparisons about how Angels are just like demons except that they have different employers. :D (phrase snagged from RoweenaC's LJ  ) Because, really, Uriel was going for the same thing as Lilith was with Lucifer in a way, and Zach seems really shady, of late. Maybe not 'Uriel' kind of shady, but shady nonetheless...

Jimmy is adorkable  Sorry, my inner fangirl got free
I can already see Dean making fun of him! Can't wait to see that scene!
Castiel: You have to save my vessel Jimmy
Dean: Your vessel's name is .... Jimmy *dies laughing*
Castiel: Oh, shut up!

I so agree, Zach is definitely one shaddy brother since 4.18!!! 8)
Maybe we need a warning:
BEWARE OF ANGELS THEY ARE NOT GOOD GUYS EXCEPT FOR CAS!

Yeah, Dean stop making fun of Cas' adorable name (which in NO way reminds me of a character of the same name in Smallville, btw)! :P

This episode blew my mind. It was totally awesome! I can officially say . . . SUPERNATURAL IS BACK!!!

I thought it was an awesome episode. I also thought that Misha Collins did a great job playing both Jimmy and Castiel. You could definitely see a difference between the two personas.

And the END! OH MY LANTA!!! Sooooo surprising!

And how about that preview? :D

WOOOOWWWW!!!!!! Epic, just epic. The entire episode, that is. :)

Supernatural just keeps getting better and better.

I really need to watch it again. Cas! Jimmy (who sorta reminded me of Dean)

Although I have to admit I kept watching the little girl expecting her eyes to turn white - missing Lilith. Then Cas in the little girl whos name leaves me at this present time. Totally BA.

Can not wait for this weeks Crossroads

I can't agree more about SPN just getting better and better EVERY episode (how do they DO that?) but it's really intresting that Jimmy reminded you of Dean, because I seemed to draw more connections between him and Sam-- Jimmy's a man who prays and who reevaluated this after spending time with the angels and knowing just HOW they did things. They didn't turn out how they were cracked up to be before he met them, and he ended up not praying at the second time he had dinner with his family.

That seemed like what Sam has had to go through-- with his dissilusionment with the angels in It's the Great Pumpkin Sam Winchester. That lost faith in what he was praying to and stuff. I have a lot more connections that I picked up while watching the episode, but... there's a lot, so I'm shutting up now.

Plus, I was intrested about how the hosts of angels have to have something in their blood to be able to be possesed... Just like Sam now has something in his blood.
