Discuss the finale of season four, "Lucifer Rising," here.

EEP! *cowers in fear and hides somewhere where Lucifer can't find me* Just the title here is making my head spin. Is Lucifer really really REALLY going to rise!?!? That would make things rather EPIC! I really don't know how the heck anyone could survive THAT, so thank goodness we know there's going to be a 5th season! So YAY everyone has a reason NOT to die... right?

Moving on now to the last part of the title: Ok, so it definitely rings a huge bell: LAZARUS Rising, anyone? Similarities between the premiere of the season vs the Finale. I don't what the connection is going to be, but I know it's gonna be eating me 'till this finally airs!

We did talk about this in episode 50, actually. It'll be interesting to see what happens in this epic finale, though.

It would be an intresting (albeit terribly heart-breaking!) contrast if it played out like that! Then youd have to figure out ANOTHER way to bring back said dead Winchester from the pit for S5, right!? Love to see the writers do THAT for a... 4th time? If you count Poppa Winchester's ghost (and Sam and Dean). 'Cause theres no Supernatural without SamnDean! Sam and Dean may be on slightly opposite ends of the black and white spectrum, may be quite alright at times, and may want to kill each other *cringes at the thought* all in the span of a single Season, but its always SamnDean... even though in this Season's case, it seems it will be Sam vs Dean. But hey, they're both in it together (in a warped kinda way ).

But seriously, all that's going through my head right now is " Lucifer!, Lucifer!, Lucifer!..." I don't know how anyone is gonna survive that... if he does rise, that is.

Also, there's a theory going around about The Big L having to posess a human host (like all demons we've encountered so far) and that host being Sam. Like maybe that was the YED's plan all along or something. And that the S2 Croatoan Virus was some kind of test to see if Sam was strong enough to be able to handle the possesion. And Ruby is actually helping this along as well. This isn't anything concrete (except some very good speculation made by people far smarter than me ) or spoilery by any means, but I find it captivating. Kripke DID say he had a 5-year plan, so... yeah. Plus, the Croatoan thing wasn't fully explained back then, either. *ponders the possibilities*

I haven't been able to keep up with the podcasts because of my computer's lack of itunes-download capabilities. *pouts* Stupid computer.

I didnt think about the Croatoan thingy. Maybe thats it. Maybe it will end with the Demon virius being sent out that could be a way to break one of the seals.
I want to see it so badly, yet on the same side of the coin, I dont. Its confusing.
I dont think Big L will posses Sam mainly because then Sam wouldnt be Sam. What could happen tho is that Sam acctually breaks one of the seals himself. Shrug

I think that is a very interesting theory, regarding the Croatoan virus. You're right, it wasn't explained all that well. But we'll see how it plays out in the ultimate endgame of the series.

Be very interesting to see what happens . . .

Yeah that's my big qualm about this theory-- that Sam won't really be Sam; it would be like BUABS all over again... just on a larger scale. It's been done, the whole "Sam can't be held accountable for his actions, and we get no REAL character developement becuase it really isn't him doing them" deal. But on the other hand (excuse my 'shallow' a moment...) it would be as hot as heck to get the BUABS Evil!Sam back!

This is spoilery unless you've seen the Canadian 'On the Head of a Pin' Promo, so highlight if you wana see (just in case... I don't know how many people avoid spoilers here ): Woah, that would be a punch to the gut... to have Dean be the one who broke the first seal in Hell ("When a righteous man sheds blood in Hell" and all that, which I'm gonna assume is Dean) and Sam being the one who breaks the last seal in the finale. Both having done so unwittingly! It's so sad to see how much good Sam's trying to do with his powers... imagine having that thrown back in his face like that-- to actually have them be the beginning of the apocalypse! Assuming that perhaps the last seal could have something to do with Sam's powers or something, I don't know. Anyhoo, I think we can all agree: using the powers too much = a major kind of BAD down the road.

Yeah I saw it. Thats why my theory came out. Maybe Sam's been drinking too much out of Hells Kitchen.
I think it could be highly likely.
However with Sam it seems just so weird. He has always believed in God and angels prayed everyday now hes going against what God wants. Confusing man

I think this finale is going to be huuuuge. It'll probably be bigger than AHBL2 and that was pretty big.

I am soooo excited. I don't remember the last time I was THIS excited about a finale for a TV Show.

So let's hope it does not disappoint (which I doubt it will)

I KNOW, RIGHT!? SOOO excited!!!
I think it's because we have no idea what could happen, but we do at the same time. For me, anyway *explains promptly as to not look too crazy*:

-Season 1, I don't think we really knew what was going to happen until it happened, like doing a face-to-face with the YED, and of COURSE the car crash, which was as sudden as heck!
-Season 2, same thing, basically. Also, we didn't even know if the show was going to end there or not.
-Season 3, we knew what could happen-- Dean dies or Dean doesn't die.
-But in Season 4, we have an apocalypse that either breaks loose or doesn't entirely, we have the brothers that will SOMEHOW turn against each other SOMETIME, and we have both angels and demons in the gray area of the black-and-white scale. But how they all factor into the rising of Lucifer is a complete mystery. The one big event that might or might not happen. Hence: *bites nails* and *dances around like crazy*.

the finale will definitely be HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I smell a major major cliffhanger! I hope it's not tooo bad otherwise I have no clue how I should survive the hiatus until september!

After watching these promos I am just bouncing! This is going to be huge and epic
