CLASSIC ROCK RULEZ

But they did use Bad Company by Bad Company in 1x11 - Scarecrow.

Woah I hadn't realized how many song titles were Led Zep's!

Well babe. Kripke is a big fan and so am I. Zep is fantastic! You should go and have a listen! 8)

Oh totally. :D Since I started watching SPN and noticing that I knew a lot of the songs they were playing in the show (ah, the memories of childhood... I may be a 90's kid, but 80's songs were playing ALL the time, and my mom's so a Van Halen/Black Sabbath chick  ), I started getting into the 80's classic rock quite a lot!

A resounding WOOHOO for classic rock! Oh and Blue Öyster? Totally kicks *ss! Heehee. One of my most memorable music cues in the show (off the top pf my head) is 'Don't fear the Reaper' in Faith. So hilarious, given the situation. Now that I think about it a bit more, 'Renegade' by Styx in Nightshifter was brilliant as well! So much good music, so little time...

Tim: Yeah they did use that song... Bad Company seems to be cheaper than LedZep, huh? They used them a lot. I don't complain as they are one of my fave rock bands...

Regarding Styx. BABE. That was one helluva good choice for that scene. PERFECT. And the song itself is awesome. But this scene, last epi's first scene and The Reaper were scences with the best usage of music on this show! Holy... I need to watch the slow motion SWAT uniforms again... YUMMY!

Oooo! Intresting that the music cue from last epi is one of your faves considering how little classic rock we've had this season! Shows how darn good Kripke and co. is at putting in just the right music at the right time. *sighs and is in love*

I remember listening to that! I was sitting there in the silence, and then they just started singing Renegade and I fell over. It was EPIC.

So I have decided that I'm very OK with this current Hellatus... I have two exams in the two weeks that SPN takes a break, so instead of waiting breathlessly for the next SPN episode, then subsequently having the undeniable urge to rant about them, I can study! Haha.

Although still not sure about the break before the finale. That's a weird one. The flow of the season has been broken up enough times already and now they're going to make us wait one week in between the second to last episode and the finale! o.O Just weird.

I think there will be a reason for the week gap. And with all seriousness it just gives us an extra week to make theories over this awesome season.

This hellatus is perfectly timed for my out-of-town trip.....so I'm pretty happy about it. The summer (Mid-may to Sept/Oct!!) hellatus.....well that's a whole other story! Ugh!

I hope Tim is right and the reason for the break is a two-hour finale for Smallville and Supernatural! THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME!!
Kripke: I just did it to screw with you guys. :D
