We're BACK!

Postby Satellite Feed (Denis) on Fri Jan 02, 2009 12:14 pm

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to chime in and wish all the best to everyone for the holidays and New Year. After taking some much needed time off, the crew of the Satellite Feed Podcast is once again ready to bring you all the very best of television and entertainment, and are hard at work on the next transmission.

On a side note:
We would like to thank everyone involved for making this small space here in the forums for us. While the Geek Lounge may be temporarily disbanded, it's nice to know that it spawned a camaraderie between all those shows involved in it's creation that extended beyond a common space on the web to geek out on. We hope that all of you new listeners enjoy our show when it drops this coming weekend.

Have a week,
Denis

Hi Denis,

Thanks for the nice holiday wishes! I hope you had a great New Year's celebration, too.

And before I forget, CONGRATULATIONS on The Satellite Feed podcast's one year anniversary! :D

I'll be looking forward to your next Transmission next week! Although most of our shows are on hiatus, I'm sure there's still plenty to talk about.

I was just reading a couple of articles on TVByTheNumbers.com and the news wasn't especially good for two of the shows you cover. It appears that "Chuck" is "on the bubble" as far as renewal for next season because the ratings haven't been as good as expected, which disappoints me because I love me some "Chuck"! Hopefully, the Powers That Be at NBC will keep it on the air.

They were also saying that it doesn't look good for another season of "Terminator: TSCC", but on the bright side, at least we have the rest of the current season to look forward to, since it wasn't pulled off the schedule like some other lower-performing shows have been.

As far as the near-future, the show I'm looking forward to the most is "LOST", which - I have to agree with your comments in the last Transmission - is perhaps the best TV show ever. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Take care,
Bob

Ugh!

Due to my computer being held together with duct tape and staples and it crashing while uploading, the next podcast will be delayed while I re-install all my software and re-record all the audio. I H-A-T-E this piece of junk.

New Year's resolution: Invest in new rig... Maybe a Mac with iLife '09 to make podcasting (and editing) easier for myself.

Anyhoo. Expect the show to drop within the next two evenings. It'll be a MUCH shorter than average show as it will contain only a look back at 2008 and another edition of the review board.

Thanks for your patience. Have a day,
Denis
