Dave and I are really shooting to take the Crossroads podcast to a whole new level.

So, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please post them here please.

Thank you.

I also agree. It would be nice to have active forums. I even noticed that the SHoE forums aren't that active in the section for this podcast. I'll do the best that I can to stay active and come up with stuff to talk about. I'm usually looking here every other day so...

Hello all, I have a suggestion I'd like to offer. Before I do that, let me just say that I've thought since the beginning that the show needed two hosts. Glad to see that's happened and I was very impressed with the addition of Dave of to the show. :)

Now for my suggestion: Tim, I'd like to suggest to you to invest in either a windscreen, or pop filter for your microphone. Sometimes when you're talking and you use words that start with a "P," it comes through extremely loud, and I've been startled by it a couple of times. By getting a windscreen or pop filter, this will eliminate distortion such as that and you'll find it will generally improve the overall quality of the podcast. Both of these things are very cheap. You can usually find them at your local Radio Shack for under $20.00. Thanks for reading and take care.

Maybe you guys should try working on get an actual website for the show? Tumblr with the podcast on it isn't really enough. If you had a website where you could talk about the podcast congruently with the news of Supernatural and, maybe, reviews of Supernatural related memorabilia (graphic novels, books, companion magazines, toys, etc.) then it would be really great and probably draw in more audience. That's what would attract me to a podcast, but I only started listening to Crossroads because I really wanted to listen to a good Supernatural podcast which is what you guys already have. It just needs some back up now.

Hope you guys can do something about that. Thanks!

*EDIT*

I was looking the Entertainment Geekly page on MyPodcast, and something like that just for Crossroads would be great!

Great job with that page btw David!

I want to do this. I really do.

The trick of it is the domain name. Anything that has Crossroads in it is already taken. So I just gotta find the right fit.

That particular project is in development hell right now.

Maybe try something simple, something that people will easily remember. EX: supernaturalpodcast.com. That name is available.

Review the Tie-Ins

Postby joebolin on Sun Mar 01, 2009 3:57 pm

Tim and Ty,

I've suggested this before, but here goes:

How about reviewing and discussing the tie-in novels (there are three now) during a hiatus episode or even as a special section of the regular podcast? My favorite of the three was Witch's Canyon, but the latest, titled Bone Key and set in Key West, was good, too. If you haven't read them yet (and I know you've started one, Tim) they are all quick reads. There's also the tie-in comics, which were pretty good; I'm not into prequels, though, so I didn't enjoy them as much.

Looking forward to Season 5,
Joe Bolin

I like the idea. I just gotta find the time to read (which doesn't happen often), and the money to get them. I'm on a pretty tight budget right now. :?

Just an idea from a Forum newbie

Postby Knightmist on Fri Mar 27, 2009 1:13 pm

Just a thought...
I know Tim and Ty are great at doing feedback on the show from the emails and such you receive.

I wonder if it wouldn't be a bad idea to pull things off the forums at times and mention something from here. I say that as it may help to drive more traffic to your forums. Then again I could be totally wrong and to try and be fair to Tim and Ty drinking to much orange juice and vodka.

I figured I'd have both covered that way a little of something both may drink. Granted I'm more of a Jack and Coke man.

Jack & Coke, Vodka & OJ. I'm down with either one. :D

I like the idea, but I think we'd be better served by asking people to write into the show and leave iTunes reviews, and plug the forums. If people want to record their feedback as an mp3 and send that to us to play on the show, I think that's a good idea too (see Ep. 50).
