This one has a special place in my heart. I think it was the first SPN episode I ever watched of season one back in 2005, which is probably why I love it so much. Freaked me right out-- 'The Grudge' and 'The Ring' movies are two of the ones that creep me out the most, and Bloody Mary herself really reminded me of them.

Now since this is the first episode I watched, I had no idea what they were talking about when they mentioned Jess and their mom, among other things, but it still was so captivating. That's how good I think it is... I didn't even know why some things were happening, and I loved it! Watching it again now that I own the DVD's is so cool. Understanding what's happening makes it even better. Obviously.

So, a lot of people have wondered: in the end of this episode, Bloody Mary comes out of the mirror and makes BOTH Sam and Dean's eyes bleed. We knew Sam's secret, but this begs the question "what was Dean's secret?". Was a secret actually revealed anywhere later on in the season, am I forgetting something?

I guess I just always attributed it to the fact that because she was now out of her mirror, she was more potent, and could just kill anybody randomly. What do you all think?

I think if anything was going to be revealed concerning that story line, it would have happened in Season 1. I think it was simply that she attacked him because she knew he was there to kill her.

Yeah. I think so too.

Its just like when they fight ghosts that have a 'type' and even though the Winchester boys dont fit that type when they get involved they get attacked too...

Supernatural really doesn't leave too many questions dangling, unlike LOST or Heroes.

I think the only two ongoing questions that have remained unanswered are these:
1. Azazel's endgame
2. The mystery of Dean's amulet

I feel both of these questions will most likely be answered in what will most likely be the fifth and final season of Supernatural.

Exactly! I was just wondering why I was still reading about 'what was Dean's secret' when I never thought Bloody Mary went after him because of any secret. I'm so happy SPN feels like its part of a big plan and there are some things I don't need to worry about because I know they'll adress it sometime. :D
